Earn money by playing MMORPG's

There are some MMORPG's that trade real currency in-game that allows users to cash it out after reaching a certain amount at any point as well as pay real money in order to obtain the virtual currency. Of course this is risky if you are planning to invest money in order to establish ways to earn it back with extra.

There are two well known MMORPG's that provide the option to earn money. Those are Second Life and Entropia Universe.

Second Life, the name pretty much speaks for itself. You can do pretty much anything you want on it make cars, clothes, furniture, houses etc.. You can engage in various activities, socialise with lots of different people, getting a job and starting work. There are absolutely no limits in second life, although earning money is quite a hard thing to do, as well as slow since in this game you have to sell goods or services to earn money since there is no other way to obtain linden but from other players.

Entropia Universe is a bit different from Second Life since it focuses on players earning money from the monsters in the game. You earn money by killing various creatures all over the world of Entropia and selling the materials you find. But although that itself sounds easy enough it doesn't work as easy as it sounds. In Entropia everything gets damaged while you fight. And when you fight monsters whether its with a sword or weapon you will end up losing more money for repairs on your armor than the loot that you gain from the monster. Although there are other alternatives to earning money on Entropia Universe.

First Ever MMORPG

The first ever MMORPG was called Island of Kesami and it was released in 1985. Although it wasn't exactly a 'massively' multiplayer online game due to the server only being able to support 100 people at a time. Also the price to play online was an incredible $12 per hour which no one today would ever consider paying that kind of money to play an MMORPG these days :P.

It was then followed by games such as Neverwinter nights, GemStone 3, Dragon's Gate and Federation which were some of the first graphical MMORPG's as well as a lot cheaper than the first one.

Eventually MMORPG's were set up online in order to sell subscriptions to users over the Internet. The first MMORPG to appear on the Internet was Legends of the future past.

As time passes MMORPG's seem to be getting more and more competitive. The Majority of MMORPG's are now free and the MMORPG's that aren't will eventually struggle until they stop charging their users or close down due to competition. There are already predictions being made that in several years all MMORPG's will eventually become free to play, hell who knows maybe they will start paying us money lol
